As an initial project of our People’s Police Observatory, we offer community members a searchable and downloadable Excel table with a list of every officer-involved shooting (OIS) in San Francisco, since former mayor Ed Lee and current District Attorney George Gascón entered into office in 2011 through 2017.

The table includes:
- A complete list of fatal and non-fatal OIS incidents from 2011-2017,
- Public information about the police shooters and the victims of those OIS, and
- Official decisions made by the District Attorney and SFPD internal affairs as to whether officers acted unlawfully in those OIS, and
- Links to news stories and/or official websites should you wish to follow or verify information.
The table also contains:
- A List of Scandals in which SFPD was involved from 2011-2017, lest we forget, and
- Additional information about OIS in which law enforcement officers not from SFPD (e.g. BART police, CHP) were involved in San Francisco; OIS involving shooting at dogs; and in custody deaths involving SFPD and SFSD officers.
