On November 3, 2016, the family lawyer Adante Pointer in the presence of his clients, the wife and children of Luis Góngora Pat, held a press conference in Mérida, Yucatán. In attendance were also members of the Coalition who had visited the family for Hanal Pixan (nov. 1) and Day of the Dead (nov. 2) in Teabo the days before to deliver a community quilt made by San Franciscan supporters. Mérida is the capital of the State of Yucatán, and it is two hours away by car from Luis’s hometown of Teabo, Yucatán.
